iTERO Element
We have to admit taking traditional dental impressions leaves a lot to be desired. Who wants to gag on a messy tray of putty? Sunrise Dentistry offers goop-free, digital impressions with our iTERO Element scanner.
The iTERO scanner allows our dentists to capture enhanced digital images of your mouth. Our dentists can explain how it also helps you get the most out of your Invisalign treatment.
What Is the iTERO Scanner?
iTERO is an intraoral scanner with a small wand that the dentist moves around your mouth to capture pictures and create 3-D dental images in minutes. The wand reaches the molars at the back of the mouth, and the scans are much more detailed than traditional 2-D images, displayed on screen in real time. They help create accurate models for restorative work such as crowns and implants, and help diagnose orthodontic issues and plan treatment.
iTERO & Invisalign
iTERO scanners are compatible with the Invisalign system. Your dentist can send the digital scans to Invisalign so your custom clear aligners can be made, and use them with the Invisalign Outcome Simulator to show you how your treatment could look at the end.
Treatment Planning
No goopy impression material, and a quick, accurate process. Regular scans throughout Invisalign treatment help your dentist track your progress against the expected outcome and explain any recommendations.
